Trinity Services Group

Founded in 1990 by Larry Vaughn and Pete Hess to bring high quality foodservices exclusively to the Corrections Community in Florida.

Based outside Tampa, Florida, Trinity grew rapidly as word of its emphasis on quality and responsiveness spread. By 1995, Trinity had become the predominant correctional foodservice contractor in Florida. By 2000 Trinity was successfully operating every major County Jail foodservice contract that had been awarded in Florida and faced the need to expand its operations outside of Florida in order to maintain its growth rate.

To facilitate that expansion, Trinity reached an agreement with Compass Group, the largest foodservice contractor in the world, wherein Larry and Pete sold their stock in Trinity to Compass and Compass, in turn, provided Trinity with support to expand its operations into other states in the Southeast.

Larry and Pete stayed on as Chief Executives of Trinity and retained operational control over Trinity. The results of that merger have been seamless, as Trinity has doubled its revenues by capturing major contracts outside of Florida while maintaining its dominance inside Florida.

Trinity is a wholly owned and independently-operated subsidiary of Compass Group, and works closely with Compass’ own Corrections arm, Canteen Correctional Services.

Larry and Pete continue actively involved in Trinity’s daily operations and Trinity’s successful policies of strong customer support, industry-leading service, and partnership with its clients remain unchanged since its inception.

The relationship of Trinity and Compass/Canteen has combined to create in Trinity an entity with all the advantages of a small company’s operating philosophies with the support and backing of a major corporation.
